What Our Clients Have to Say
The Thriving Culture of Caravanning and Camping
Australians deeply love caravanning and camping, viewing it as an incredible way to immerse themselves in Australia's vast open spaces and breathtaking natural beauty. This vibrant sector allows us to experience the great outdoors and significantly boosts our economy. Here's why:
Australia's Enviable Climate: With consistently favourable weather, caravanning and camping can be enjoyed throughout the year, making it an ideal activity for outdoor enthusiasts.
Extensive Network of Camping Grounds: Across the country, we are fortunate to have a vast network of camping grounds and sites, ensuring that there's always a perfect spot to relax, unwind, and create lasting memories.
These insights are derived from the National Visitor Survey (NVS), which provides a comprehensive overview of the impact of the caravan and camping industry.
Before the challenges of COVID-19, the popularity of caravan and camping trips skyrocketed, with a remarkable 67% increase over a decade. In the year ending 2019, Australians embarked on a record-breaking 13.9 million caravan and camping trips.
Commercial caravan parks and camping grounds were pivotal in these trips, accounting for 52% of trips, 62% of nights spent, and 64% of overall expenditure.
Following the reopening after COVID-19-related restrictions, the industry bounced back impressively. By the year ending June 2022, trips had reached 12.7 million, and there was an unprecedented high spend of $10.5 billion.
Furthermore, with a staggering 770,000 caravan and campervan registrations in 2021 nationwide, this incredible growth trajectory shows no signs of slowing down.
Join the caravan and camping movement today and experience the perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and the awe-inspiring beauty of Australia's landscapes.
